Situated at the entrance of the town in the upper reaches of the city, near the main bus stops and at one of the most famous angles on the Amalfi Coast, the Bar Internazionale is probably the destination or address most noted in the logbook of visitors from all over the world. The area is home to the city hall and the Chiesa Nuova where hundreds of Italians and foreign visitors celebrate their weddings. Equally beautiful and for the real connoisseur remain the busy bars and intimate restaurants strewn about the neighborhood. The nearby area of Montepertuso offers a real oasis of gastronomy and tranquility for those who want to get away from the busy town centre.

Liparlati, a vital neighbourhood

Built up around the little church of Saint Giacomo, the Liparlati area is perhaps one of the oldest villages which make up the town of Positano. It has always been an upper middle class residential neighbourhood.

From here it is possible to savour some of the most characteristic views of the town; the colourful houses framed in green gardens and the sudden gash of blue sky and turquoise sea.

Connected to the main road the town centre and the beaches by way of short ants along the famous Positano stairways, the Liparlati area offers a quiet location of great charm, central yet sheltered from the worst aspects of every day life.
