Villa Sofia is a nice apartment set into a larger villa. The apartment is approximately 100 square meters (1,075 square feet), it is suitable for 6 people and has with sea views. There is a patio, a private garden and a large communal swimming pool. There are three bedrooms, a sitting room, a kitchen, a shower room with w.c. and two en-suite bathrooms with shower. The villa is air-conditioned. It is 4 km (2.5 miles) from Sorrento and 2 km (1.25 miles) from Marina di Puolo where there is a beach.

The villa is one of a series of elegantly built holiday homes set in a private park.

The villas are situated on a piece of sloping land which covers one hectare (2.5 acres) of coast and are partly hidden by the green tops of a luxurious olive grove. In front of the villas there is the sea and The Gulf of Naples.

The large swimming pool is surrounded by an extensive garden and lots of places equipped with sun umbrellas, sun beds and garden furniture. Everything is at the disposal of all the guests staying at the villas within the park.

There is a pool attendant and a friendly warden whose house is at the entrance to the park. He is there to welcome you and provide you with any information needed.

Villa Sofia is in the most beautiful and sunniest part of the park, at the top of a knoll covered in olive groves.

When you are outside on the terrace or in the garden you can see only the blue sky and sea framed by the green treetops of the olives below and the outline of The Gulf of Naples with the unmistakeable cone of Vesuvius in the centre.

The villa has a large patio shaded by a white cloth under which a wicker suite and a nice table and chairs are placed: it seems like an open-air sitting room inviting you to rest or to dine “al fresco”. A little further on there is a sunny terrace with an extensive panorama of the sea equipped with sun beds for sunbathing.

Further below the rest of the private garden has been developed into grassy stepped terraces that look over the sea and where big olive trees grow.

Here and there stony pathways sign, unobtrusively, the route that leads you to corners of untouched Mediterranean vegetation and unexpected angles of sea views.

The air is clean and scented, the sunlight and brilliant colours fill you with the joy of living. You will be happy to find yourself spending your holiday in this place!

The inside of the villa is also pleasingly decorated.

From the patio you enter the sitting room through two large glass doors. In the sitting room there are settees, a table and chairs, a television and a C.D. player. A short corridor leads to two bedrooms. One is a double bedroom with “en suite” and the other is a twin with a single bed and one that folds up. Along the corridor there is a shower room with w.c.

The sitting room also leads to the kitchen that is equipped with a cooker, an oven, a dishwasher, a microwave, a fridge/freezer and a washing machine.

The third bedroom is in an annexe built in the garden and is a nice studio flat surrounded by greenery. It is decorated with stones and pieces of rock. There is a double bedroom and a shower room with w.c.

The villa has two parking places.

The swimming pool is open from mid-June to mid-September.

Villa Sofia will be your home base for enjoying the incomparable beauty of Sorrento, the Sorrento Coast, of Capri and other islands, of the Amalfi Coast and Naples.You can get to these famous places either by ferry or organised tourist trips. By train you can easily visit Pompeii, Vesuvius, the Caserta Palace and other attractions.You can be sure of an unforgettable holiday.
